Course facts:
Method of Study: This is an online self-study English course which benefits from Tutor Support. Regular tutor feedback is provided at the end of each Unit to increase students' awareness of their academic strengths and weaknesses.

Course content
1. Initial assessment.
All four skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) are practiced using everyday topics and situations.
Type of materials used: Word document worksheets, PDFs, Audios, Videos, Online quizzes, Interactive activities

2. Unit 1: Reading, reading techniques and lexical resource
3. Unit 2: Writing- Construct arguments, write various academic texts and carry out research
4. Unit 3: Develop further understanding of the English Grammar
5. Unit 4: Communicate effectively, use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
6. Review and final assessment.

This course is suitable for candidates with very good knowledge (current B2 Users) of the English language who wish to further enhance their communication skills and prepare for the ESOL level 2 test, further or higher education in English or pursue employment opportunities with English in the UK. Additionally, this course could prepare you for SELT ISE III, an Advanced English exam with the British council or Cambridge English language assessment (CAE). Options are discussed prior to booking the course.
The overall aim of the course is to help you perfect your English. This means that you will be equipped to deal with academic and professional tasks in English. Upon completion of this course you should be able to:

1. have access to a PC and fast internet connection in order to complete this course. System requirements: Windows 7, 8, 10, 11. Updated Browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera. Recommended devices: laptop, desktop computer or tablet.
2. be IT literate, i.e. access, browse and navigate through the learning platform, create, edit, submit files and voice recordings, play audios and videos, use email and follow set-up instructions etc.
3. be 16+ years of age.
4. spend around 8 hours/week studying (incl. tests and live lessons). Note that this is only an estimation, the actual study time will depend on the individual.
5. have completed ESOL Level 1 (B2 User) or take our Placement test
