freelance online ESOL/IELTS Tutor (part-time)

Pay:
£12/hour 

Job description: 

To provide online support to speakers of other languages via online platform.
To deliver live online lessons in accordance with the ESOL curriculum and CEFR descriptors. All lesson plans are provided. Lesson duration is 45 min.
Tutors are freelancers working from home, providing support to multicultural students based in and out of the UK. 
Tutors must have a PC with camera, microphone and reliable (fast) internet connection.
Working hours are between 10 am and 1 pm, one weekday and/or Saturday  (flexible hours can be arranged to suit the candidate)

Person specification:


Essential:

• level 5 or above Teaching qualification (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, DELTA, PGCE, TKT etc.)
• in depth knowledge of the ESOL curriculum and CEFR
• Bachelors degree 
• 12+ months teaching experience 
• IT literate (proficient in using MS office, Zoom/Teams, email etc.)
• at least one professional reference
• professional, organised, empathetic, patient
• able to motivate students
• reliable, responsible, easy-going
• understand cultural and social barriers students may face
• have a recent DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one 

Desirable:

~to be a native speaker
~to have previous experience in teaching online
