As part of our plagiarism policy and assessment practices, we carry out regular checks on learners' work to ensure that it is their own.We have a zero tolerance policy for plagiarism and similar cheating practices. Such violations of any kind are taken seriously and result in dismissal from our programs. The best way you can keep yourself from committing an act of plagiarism is to be properly informed. Any words, phrases, sentences, texts taken from a source must be cited and contained within quotation marks. Even if you have paraphrased an idea from a source you must provide the appropriate citations. Ignorance of these principles will not be an acceptable excuse for violation of the policy.
For further information and assistance, please watch 'Plagiarism' video/Unit 1 for all courses. In addition, read the 'Referencing Guide' on the Student Forum or ask your tutor. Clause 5.3. in our Terms and Conditions clearly states that anyone caught cheating (copying and pasting from any source, asking another person to answers test questions for them and so on) will automatically fail the course.
