Do I need to sit an exam every time I complete a level? No, you can sit just one exam at the end of your studies, usually this would be at the highest level you complete. For example, you start at beginner level and you finish at advanced, you only book an exam at advanced level. Are exams compulsory? No, it is not compulsory to sit an exam at the end of your course. However, if you require a formal language qualification, you will need to sit an exam. See more here. Do I get a certificate when I complete the ESOL course? Yes, you will gain a certificate of completion reflecting your marks and level. This confirms that you have had guided English language training at a certain level.
